Curb Your Enthusiasm “A Disturbance In The Kitchen”

Season Nine, Episode Three

Look, I know.  You see a title like that, you think Larry caused a disturbance in a kitchen.  And he does…eventually, but not right away.  The disturbance is…something else.

Larry, still in his disguise, is having lunch with Jeff at a restaurant when the manager comes over to tell him that their meal is late because there was a disturbance in the kitchen.  He will not elaborate.  He will acknowledge a question without answering it and call it an answer.  About anything.  To prove it, Larry asks what color the man’s tie is, and all he will say is he is wearing a tie and it has a color.

Then again, Larry sneaks into the kitchen and the chef won’t tell him either.

As it is, this fatwa is really causing Larry problems.  Not like Susie’s loss of her “little sister” does for her, where she even gets Cheryl and Ted to go looking, but Larry can’t find his sunglasses and Jeff is missing his Cubs hat.  Larry can’t bring himself to care for a stranger more than he does his sunglasses and maybe Jeff’s hat.  Besides, there’s a fatwa, and he gets pulled over for beeping the horn of Ted’s Tesla at a cop.

Larry actually compared himself to Rosa Parks at traffic court for that, something that did not go over well with either the black cop or the black judge.  That is pretty, pretty, pretty bad.

But he got things pretty, pretty, pretty good when he met Salman Rushdie.  And yeah, Rushdie is clearly a good sport here given he talks about all the women he scored with during his fatwa days.  To prove it, he takes Larry to lunch, and when Larry gets there…Elizabeth Banks buys him a drink.

Now, Larry is dating Elizabeth Banks.  Because it’s his show.

So, does Susie find her little sister?  Yes!  The cop brings her over!  She even had Larry’s sunglasses!  And he spotted Jeff’s cap on the roof of the Greenes’ house because…well, I guess it would go there.  But Larry damages the cop’s car pulling it off the roof and bravely runs away.  The cop tracks him to the restaurant, where he is delayed slightly by the manager’s inability to answer questions, but then Elizabeth Banks turns out to be a terrible liar with the cover story, so Larry is arrested for vandalizing a police car, and dragging him out causes…a disturbance in the kitchen.

So, he did cause one…eventually.
