For the longest time, I wasn’t much interested in horror movies. I was and am a bit jumpy, don’t care much for gore, and generally avoided the genre. That changed a couple years ago. True, I am still jumpy and don’t care much for gore, but there’s a lot of good stuff out there in horror that is often worth the unease that, let’s face it, a good horror movie should provoke.
Not sure how to get into the genre yourself? The YouTube channel Renegade Cut has some tips and pointers for that.
Renegade Cut started off as a movie analysis channel, but over time, it became more and more political. I generally like the analysis the channel’s host does, but I prefer not to put overly political stuff online here for reasons of my own. That said, he does still do the occasional media analysis, so his short video on how to get into horror movies should be very helpful for anyone looking to do, you know, that.
