Oh, look. We’re going back to Gallifrey, and Leela can go.
OK, Sarah Jane wasn’t allowed to go to Gallifrey because humans weren’t allowed to go there, but Jamie and Zoe went there, and now Leela? Which is it?
Wait, continuity doesn’t matter on Doctor Who. Never mind.
We open with the Doctor having a meeting with some aliens we can’t see. He signs a contract that has something to do with taking over the Time Lords, and off he goes. From there, he’s kinda pushy to everyone he meets.
That includes Leela, who takes some time off to enjoy the pool in the TARDIS because of course there is one, and K9. K9 doesn’t ask too many questions.
But the Doctor instead takes the TARDIS back to Gallifrey, pushes his way past the guards sent to arrest him, and then went right to see his old pal Chancellor Borusa. And from there, the Doctor has a demand.
He demands to be named Presidents of the Council of Time Lords.
Immediately.
Well, maybe after he has that lead installed in his office.
So, after some comedy as Leela refuses every nice dress that guard captain offers her, we get to the pomp and circumstance of the Doctor’s inauguration. And those aliens…they’re montoring everything.
And just as the Doctor gets his crown, he has a really strong headache…
