If you know anything about movie directors, and you know who Michael Bay is, chances are you have a negative view of the guy.
Well, YouTube essayist Patrick (H) Willems has some thoughts on Bay’s aesthetic.
Over a two part series, Willems goes through Bay’s entire filmography and looks at the actual look of Bay’s work. And…he makes a good case, not that Bay is necessarily a good filmmaker, but rather a distinctive one. I’d say he made a good case. See for yourself.
