This week on the podcast, there was a lot of swearing.
They also talked Star Wars.
Oddly enough, that’s what caused the swearing when someone realized it was a series of movies being discussed and not a TV show.

So, I might have had something to say about all the Star Wars streaming stuff and more movies. I don’t think Jenny was completely wrong in her assessment about there being potentially too much, but at the same time, not for the reasons of continuity that bothered her so much as a Disney spreading the franchise too thin. I mean, I know my life has been directly affected by whoever invented the wheel, but I couldn’t name that person.
But then Watson had to go and say something about being the only movie reviewer here, and I know that ain’t true because I write movie reviews all the time. But then Jenny couldn’t name a single one of the (SPOILER FREE) movie reviews I write, so my options are to be miffed at Watson for saying I don’t do things or miffed at Jenny for being unable to offer more than a half-assed defense.
Of course, that also means I could write anything here and Jenny won’t see it, so that should spook her just a little bit.
But then there was Ryan’s trivia game, and I was all set to question whether he made the whole thing up or not, but…
I remember Skippy.
What Ryan did not disclose was that the story of Skipper the Jedi Droid was actually meant to be humorous. It was written by longtime comics scribe Peter David (I’m a fan which may be why I remember that) and was sprinkled with jokes like how Skippy envisioned a princess with cinnamon buns on the side of her head, or just dropping the the intense gravity of a binary star like the one Tattooine orbits would rip a planet apart. It was a joke story told over just a few pages.
So, you know, don’t worry about Skippy.
