Secret Empire Reading Order (Updated 6/29)

This week sees the release of the fifth issue of the core series as well as four tie-ins.  I am finding the pacing of the series a little slow, but it’s interesting and the tie-ins (thus far) have been worthwhile.

This week’s tie-ins all seem to take place early in the timeline, either catching up regular series like Amazing Spider-Man and Occupy Avengers to current events, or dealing with the fallout from Secret Empire #0 in Mighty Captain Marvel and the Guardians of the Galaxy Annual.  The tricky part about placing the latter issues is that they are so disconnected from the goings on in the main story on Earth, it is tough to get a feel for the passage of time.  As things become clearer, I might move them back a bit.  Also, Mighty Captain Marvel 6 seems to take place not long after issue 5, but I spread them out a bit as I wanted to keep the books that tied directly into Secret Empire #0 and the Free Comic Book Day issue as close together as possible.
