Podcast Reaction: Casting Calls With Ryan Reynolds Edition

The Geeks are back, though sometimes they need to go get their groceries in the middle of vital games of chance.

This week on the podcast, Jenny and the guys discussed casting and people going back and forth.  These things happen.

What surprised me is that, while they were absolutely correct about Josh Brolin and Chris Evans, it seems like they forgot someone.  I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it seems like there was another actor who flipped between superhero intellectual properties.  But who was it…

Can’t think of it.

Oh yeah.  It was still Chris Evans, who appeared in an adaptation of the Vertigo series The Losers in 2010 with other future MCU cast members Zoe Saldana and Idris Elba.  Also, he did that Scott Pilgrim movie.  Plus, there was that massive brawl with the Serpent Society at the end of Gifted that no one saw coming.  Point is, Brolin will be fine.

For what it is worth, I am inclined to trust Reynolds on Deadpool 2 for a number of non-Cable related reasons, like David Leitch directing.  He was one half of the directorial team for John Wick and Atomic Blonde looks fifty shades of awesome.

Meanwhile, Ryan continues his obsession with magicians and the Now You See Me series.  Someone get him some help.  No amount of Cumberbatch is worth that.  Granted, those movies are a lot more fun than box office talk, but most things are a lot more fun than box office talk.

Oh, and the Geeks played a new game.  Seemed rather random by design and not overly geeky.  But some people have different ideas of fun games.

Watson’s idea of the perfect game.

Well, some things are of more interest to some people than to others.

Of more interest to Jenny.
